I accomplished nothing over Winter Break. I had v

I accomplished nothing over Winter Break.

I had visions of cleaning out closets, completing much needed organizing projects, trying new recipes, planning out my marketing calendar, enjoying a staycation.

Instead? I came down with Covid, had one kid with flu, a spouse with Covid and a parent hospitalized for three nights with flu and pneumonia a plane ride away.

I accomplished very little other than several much-needed meditation videos and workouts @peloton (you know what Elle Woods says about endorphins…), kept five humans fed/hydrated/relatively rested, read a few fiction and nonfiction books, and cared for a few friends’ sweet puppies who turned out to be lovely nurses.

Which, in itself, isn’t nothing. It made me slow down, look around, take deep breaths, and appreciate what I have.

May 2026 be what we need, and the best year available to us.
